The thing is, just like last offseason, the money that Heaney will be due would be a lot better spent on relief pitchers. The fifth spot in the rotation can go to a cheap younger pitcher to free up money for the bullpen. That's the way it should happen, but I certainly do not expect that.

He’s a major part of the problem. The bullpen is complete trash and the hitting is an embarrassment, but Bochy has earned some losses himself.

I am telling you they have to go out and get 5 quality relievers in the offseason, either free agents or via trade. Anything less is gross negligence.

It’s not hard to get out managed when you’ve only got 1 player who’s trying and the rest are rushing to get on vacation.
