No one is trading for Heaney at 13m. And if he opts in at 20m due to innings pitched he'll be the highest paid scrub pitcher in mlb. IOW, we stuck with him.Scherzer is an absolute stud. With it being likely they bring back Montgomery, we could see the front office look to salary dump Heaney via trade much like what happened to Odorizzi last off-season. Might have to actually throw in a player to get someone to take that bloated salary.
That “scrub” pitcher has a 4.16 ERA as a #5 starter. The hate for Heaney around here is laughable. No one is trading for Heaney at 13m. And if he opts in at 20m due to innings pitched he'll be the highest paid scrub pitcher in mlb. IOW, we stuck with him.
He's not been all that bad, but I don't want his bloated contract to possibly get in the way of bringing back Montgomery who has been a stud. That “scrub” pitcher has a 4.16 ERA as a #5 starter. The hate for Heaney around here is laughable.
Different game, same script. This all feels familiar somehow. Starting pitcher hurls a gem. Hitters give him almost zero run support. Bullpen makes sure to ruin the game if the hitters haven’t already.
He's been really bad lately.Burke can leave too
He’s overpaid, but that doesn’t change that the quality of his pitching hasn’t been bad for a #5.He's not been all that bad, but I don't want his bloated contract to possibly get in the way of bringing back Montgomery who has been a stud.
Who hasn’t?He's been really bad lately.
Why did he pull him after only 88 pitches? This is September in a pennant race.Bochy pulled Max a little early. Should have let him start the 7th.
Not to mention he had a 1-hit shutout going. Exactly like when he pulled Montgomery early and cost him the shutout and us the win.Why did he pull him after only 88 pitches? This is September in a pennant race.
because he doesn’t know how to manage a bullpen. Brings in a left handed pitcher, so that the twins can bring in their right handed hitters. Why did he pull him after only 88 pitches? This is September in a pennant race.
Plus we need to win one game at a time starting tonight. Not to mention he had a 1-hit shutout going. Exactly like when he pulled Montgomery early and cost him the shutout and us the win.
It’s like he doesn’t understand that our bullpen is trash.
