No More "Bullpen Failure"
I guess, Huff is here until Miller completes his rehab assignment.
Should have but who would you DFA to clear a spot for that outfielder and who would you bring up?Him and Taveras struggling should have caused them to bring up an outfielder instead of a a guy who is seen as a 4th-string catcher.
You would give Eeyore a run for his money in the negativity department.I see the Rangers finishing 13-16. That would mean 88-74 and likely no playoffs unless we take 3 of 4 in Toronto. The way this team is playing no way they are winning the division. The bullpen alone will probably blow another 4-5 saves this year.
But 88-74 is a nice improvement. Obvious glaring holes in the bullpen and outfield needs some offensive help but overall not bad.
Need to resign Montgomery but he may not want to stay. If he does and Eovaldi comes back healthy plus Scherzer and Dunning ( and deGrom after AS break) .
Throw in Cole Ragans, and that's a great rotation. Unfortunately we screwed that one up royally (pun intended) so we'll have to settle for Jon Gray.
Regardless of callups chosen now Seems like there can still be some interchange.I guess, Huff is here until Miller completes his rehab assignment.
Miller just went to a rehab assignment.Regardless of callups chosen now Seems like there can still be some interchange.
They have Miller out as said so if he goes on 60 day IL, I think they could even roster someone and add them to the 28 man and still be playoff eligible Maybe a pitcher and make another switch
I don’t think that their eligibility for postseason was ever in play.Miller just went to a rehab assignment.
I believe, as of today, it is too late to add someone to the 40-man and have them eligible for the postseason.
My comment about being playoff eligible was in reply to this comment.I don’t think that their eligibility for postseason was ever in play.

"I think they could even roster someone and add them to the 28 man and still be playoff eligible "
I wasn't trying to make any kind of a statement about who I thought needed to be playoff eligible.
Rangers are 35-38 since June 6.You would give Eeyore a run for his money in the negativity department.
There used to be a exception rule for guys who go on the DLMiller just went to a rehab assignment.

I guess in your example they would have to place Miller on the 60 and then after 60 days someone else would be eligible. That is a long time away though.![]()

I am with you on this. A healthy, dominant Eovaldi could make a difference. But there is no guarantee that is the version we will get.I don't see any way of predicting how the Rangers will fare this month. I mean, which team is going to show up on which days?
If the Rangers win anywhere from 9 games to 20 games, the rest of the way, it wouldn't surprise me.
