Yes and no. They outhit us 14-5, so in that regard, we had no business winning. But the game was somehow there for the taking if we just pitched our 3 best relievers.

Maybe we would have lost anyway. No way to know for sure. But I hate that Bochy didn’t put them in the best position to win it.

Before tonight, Anderson had allowed 7 earned runs in his last 8 innings. What about that gave Bochy any confidence whatsoever to put him into a bases loaded situation (that Bochy himself created with the intentional walk)? And then Anderson allows all 3 inherited runners to score. Just awful.

On the lite side, I saw @scotsman#1948 in section 309 pulling his hair out.

When I saw him in person against Miami the guy has no real control of his pitches. I have no confidence in him when he comes into a game. The original Sborz has reared its ugly head lately.

And THAT right there is why you don’t put in trash like Anderson to forfeit the game. You minimize the damage and give your team a chance.

Cole Winn had his third good outing in a row. It was cut a little short because he got ejected when he threw a wild pitch and the umpire thought it was intentional.

In his last 3 outings:

Tonight his walks were not a problem. He only walked 1 tonight in 3.2 innings.
