If it isn't broke don't fix it. Your rationale is not going to work if there truly is a difference in who catches Gray. DT and yourself are basing it strictly off of Leon's offense but when it's playoff time pitching is the name of the game.I just don't want to get to the postseason at some point and have to have Leon or someone similar play amd leave Heim on the bench, just because a pitcher cannot work well with Jonah. If a pitcher requires a certain catcher then I would rather not have the pitcher on the team, unless of course, it is our best catcher he has to have.
Then again, Jonah and Gray no doubt had some success together last year when Gray wasn't hurt. And, we signed Gray thinking he was good enough with any catcher.
I am just saying I want a pitcher who can pitch well without the security blanket in the postseason. If it isn't broke don't fix it. I believe that is his 2nd bad game in a row.Was hoping Ohtani would shut the Astros down but they touched him for 4 runs. Astros up 4-2
Angels just tied it

Then keep doing it until it isn't working any longer.I am just saying I want a pitcher who can pitch well without the security blanket in the postseason.
Besides, who knows how much longer he was going to pitch like that, even with Leon. There was a time he put together a good enough stretch last year that it was mentioned that we might all owe him an apology.
I remember when we were going to WS that we had some big time bats that helped us win some games. The postseason is about being good in both areas. I have seen us lose a lot of postseason games in the late 90s because of no offense.
I don't remember hearing that but I am not sure. It's a tough thing to keep pitching and playing like he has. It has to wear you down some. Was it a blister problem last time?
Because one of our hitters needed to be replaced in the 9th by Endy Chavez and the manager failed to do so.lost game 6 because of pitching
But in 2010 and 2011 great hitting beat great pitching. Well, except the 2010 WS. I am just saying you need close to the best of both to have the ultimate success in the postseason. Then keep doing it until it isn't working any longer.
We had an offensive machine against the Cardinals and lost game 6 because of pitching. And in the 90's we had some very good offensive players but we had to go against the Yankees and their pitching was very good. In that case it was good pitching beat good hitting.
All they are reporting is it is a finger issueWas it a blister problem last time?
