The Rangers usually play better at home so maybe we can take 2 out of 3. The pitchers are listed as:

The team is still in the race for the division, but doing enough to win the division seems impossible. It has been such a struggle all year and through a lot of last year, as well.

Meanwhile, Blaine Crim seems to be doing everything he can to make the Rangers notice him.

No, it is way past that possibility. They originally held him out several days before the deadline and didn't pitch him after the deadline either. I just hope he isn't hurt, but that is quickly becoming the most likely possibility.

My guess is CY was after Andrew Chafin aka ‘the Sheriff’ and ‘Big Country’ and unloaded Lorenzen to get the lefty Pennington if the Chafin deal fell through as a backup plan.

I don’t think there was enough confidence to rely on Latz (I like Latz a lot) in the pressure situations that could arise going forward this season.

Pennington is reported to be an ‘under the radar’ kind of guy and was rated 17th for top rookies coming out of Spring Training this year with Langford at No.1
