The Rangers are not going to make lots of changes and bring up 3 or 4 minor league hitters. The whole reason they weren't sellers is to not look like they have given up. They are not going to make wholesale changes just a few days later. That is more like something they would do in September or whenever they get 10 games out, whichever comes first.

It is certainly too early to say what he will be in his career. He may turn into a fine reliever.

I wouldn't call the trade a complete bust, but I do think CY made a bad trade. Lorenzen should have brought back more than what Pennington is worth.

Note to CY, this time completely fix the bullpen in the offseason. Don't overpay for any more Chapmans or Penningtons because you didn't acquire enough in the offseason.
