I think you have a young club now. It is clear that owners are almost forced to spend big or sell the team. No top player will come the way the club is being run. With thrifty owners and 1st class stadium they will come. Just have to open the wallet.

If we don’t sign at least 2 high-quality, high-dollar FA’s this off-season we will be nothing but cannon fodder for the Astros, A’s and Angels and maybe even the Mariners. They were ready a few months ago and JD bungled negotiations. Now with Covid, all bets are off.

That is where we disagree. I think the owners were willing and JD misread the situation and bungled things.

I agree. I would prefer to leave our youth out of trade discussions for the most part. I know they can be an added piece at time to make major moves but this team needs to have a major rehaul/youth movement. Go ahead and get our tails kicked for a couple of year.

Well if you think our young pitchers are going to come out of the gate on fire then good for you. But I think it will take time so we still may be getting kicked. I just want to see those guys getting their work in getting them the experience they need to compete. I like Lynn a lot and I do not mind keeping him but we need to quit playing guys who are not a part of our future. That even includes Frazier. If ever there was a time to sit him, trade Elvis, sit Choo and whoever else this is it.

How do we stop playing the players who are not part of our future and play the kids when we are limited to 28 players? We can’t just sit them and add kids without making roster moves of some kind
