When JD was a buyer the Cubs got the best of him, but that may have been more JD being to willing to buy than it was due to anything about the Cubs. Hopefully, if the Cubs are buyers that imbalance won't stay the same. I think getting taken in a trade comes easier when you are buying. I hope when we trade we are open to dealing with all teams because that increases our chances of getting a good deal.I’m hoping JD doesn’t trade with the Chicago Cubs this year.
It seems like Epstein always takes him behind the woodshed.
That is a dangerous game to play without having any August trades to fall back on.Been saying for the last week or so. I don’t think there will be much movement at all until Monday at the earliest.
I think teams are in a game of chicken right now.
Pence will be easier to trade than Cabrera, but there are probably teams that could use Cabrera's versatility.Would be floored if Martin isn’t moved.
I still totally expect Martin, minor, Cabrera, and 1 of pence / forsythe to not be rangers on August 1st.
The only way to improve is with experience.
The idiots on lone star ball seem to want him traded at all cost while they mysteriously want to keep guys like odor and Guzman.
Right now, it’s a no brainer to keep Santana because we don’t know how good he can be and we have 2 years of cheap control to find out. If he regresses, oh well you’re paying the guy peanuts.
Seems like a win / win to me to just keep him tho and the safest move too. I don’t want to risk trading him to a contender and seeing him tear it up.
Things will be different for a while. It's all about change and how we accomplish it.Odor batting second.
What the??
