Yep. We gotta keep doing work against them because they are not dead and buried by any stretch.

Just June 29th, don't sleep on anybody, and keep playing good baseball and things should work out

They've actually gained a game on us over the last 10. Sure, they're still back 10, but damn it would be nice to add to this lead.
I understand what you are saying. But for June they are 20-8 and have lost 2 games to us as we have gone 22-6. Any other season they probably gain at least 6. 3 of their 8 losses were to us.

I see in 1 inning last night Cotts took the loss by striking out the side but also giving up 3 hits, 2 walks and 2 runs. We don't need that. He sure was awesome that 1 year though. Remember that 1 game where I think he walked the bases loaded and then struck out the next 3 batters.

If this was already posted sorry but Cordell was All Star MVP last night. But I do not remember Steven Murphy.

SPRINGFIELD, MO. (June 28, 2016) - Ryan Cordell stole the show at the 2016 Texas League All-Star Game, taking home MVP honors as part of the South Division's 8-5 win over the North Division Tuesday night at Hammons Field.

Cordell finished 3-for-5 Tuesday night with a three-run homer and two singles. Cordell, the league leader in RBI (52), led all players with four RBI. He is the first RoughRiders player to win All-Star Game MVP honors since Steven Murphy did it in 2008 in a game also played at Hammons Field.

Yep all that winning and they really haven't gained anything. They won't win at that clip for the rest of the season.

We might have another ball player on our hands. Really early to say, but there's reason to be optimistic.

As we have seen this year it has been a nice luxury to have. Just need to see that happen with pitching at the AAA level.

Report Cards for Every MLB Team at Midseason Mark

Grade: A+

The Rangers have separated themselves from the rest of the pack in the AL and are right there alongside the Cubs and Giants as one of the elite teams at the midway point.
Since we follow this team we realize the depth they have and how we are able to fill the gaps when someone is out. There is concern with pitching with the injuries and an unstable BP but I am not sure I have seen anything like this with the Rangers in regards to depth.

I meant to say something about the home plate umpire after the game but that was the most consistent and accurate umpiring that I can remember seeing. There was not even any complaints on the board during the game.

Probably because I wasn't on until the very end? :D

You ole dog you. :heh:

I have to say, I give credit when due, but before last night we have had our share of really bad umpiring

I noticed some TERRIBLE umpiring in the RedSox series, but both teams were getting royally screwed.

Right and the umpiring for the most part has been really bad. But that guy last night was not leaving hitters out to dry by calling pitches outside the zone as strikes. He was matching up unbelievably well with the pitch tracker.

Does anyone have an idea as to who it was? Might be nice to take notice, and look for him in future games.
