Saw this in regards to NY's lineup. A-Rod in place of Beltran and no Tex'

Here's the lineup: Ellsbury cf, Gardner lf, Rodriguez DH, McCann c, Castro 2b, Gregorius ss, Headley 3b, Hicks rf, Refsnyder 1b. Tanaka pitching. Teixeira not in the lineup; we'll find out why from Joe Girardi in a few.

I noticed some TERRIBLE umpiring in the RedSox series, but both teams were getting royally screwed.

I saw where TR Sullivan tweeted that Profar took Darvish deep to which Tepid tweeted the following. lol.

I see in 1 inning last night Cotts took the loss by striking out the side but also giving up 3 hits, 2 walks and 2 runs. We don't need that. He sure was awesome that 1 year though. Remember that 1 game where I think he walked the bases loaded and then struck out the next 3 batters.

If it is any consolation 2 of the hits were bunt hits.

Rangers rested, ready after marathon delay against Yankees

Holland (shoulder inflammation) is scheduled to play catch Wednesday in Arlington for the first time since his June 20 start. Brocail said that the Rangers could use an impending rehab assignment to also refine Holland’s mechanics.

▪ Keone Kela (elbow impingement) is scheduled to throw one inning in a simulated game Thursday at Triple A Round Rock. He could remain there and begin a rehab assignment as soon as Sunday.

Brocail said none of the three pitchers are expected to return before the All-Star break.

Previous stint with Rangers: 2003-2007
Contract status: 2017 free agent

Why a reunion makes sense: Teixeira quickly established himself as a superstar after Texas made him the fifth pick in the 2001 draft, though the Rangers would be content to receive even half the player he was during his resurgent season from a year ago. The Rangers could use a first base/DH option who can hit lefties (even if Teixeira isn't quite as effective from the right side anymore), and his expiring deal means his price tag and acquisition cost shouldn't be much of a roadblock.
