If it hasn't happened yet, how long before Topps starts selling the ability to capture a fan catch on a baseball card? It has become akin to a photobooth at Six Flags.
As PT Barnum once said, "There is a sucker born every minute".

That price tag would start with Profar, Gallo, Brinson, and Tate , and go up from there.

And that right there is way too rich for my blood.

And I think, as several of you have already made note, his motion and size make him look like an injury in waiting.

Yeah would cost a ton for sure and certainly would effect the future of the team. There's an interesting underlying question here though. At what point does is risking the future worth it if you are punching a WS ticket? Having a rotation of Hamels, Darvish, and Sale(or some other ace ) this season in the playoffs arguably makes you the favorite. If somehow you could guarantee a WS win this season off of such a trade but risk teams future, do you do it and take that championship?

If that trade guarantees a World Series for Texas? I pull the trigger all day. But there are no guarantees. Wasn't that long ago Philly got knocked out of the NLCS with a rotation of Lee, Hamels, and Halladay.

It was the NLDS, to make your point stronger. 2011.

I wouldn't even count Andrus in that sense, he spent all of one season in our system, we don't get much credit for scouting or developing him, he was already highly regarded when we got him, not much credit to be given there
Okay, leave him out then. The point is the same with or without him.

If that trade guarantees a World Series for Texas?

If it was just that easy right?

Think the Dodgers have been trying to do this for quite some time now and it hasn't worked out.

Profar playing I understand but Fielder at cleanup I don't get. Oh well seems like we get something new every game and I can't argue our success.

I went back and watched and am surprised Prince got first base for ducking into that HBP. Ian was a legit hit, Mazara looked like it just cut too much and caught back foot, and prince leaned into it. :)

He probably realized after waiting so long a GIDP or K would upset his teammates. :) Give him credit for taking one for the team.

I think thats really the perfect answer to an unrealistic hypothetical. I actually heard a similar convo on the radio this weekend which is why I brought this up.

i just don't understand why Banister can't leave well enough alone. Fielder is doing fine hitting fifth. Why fuck it up?

Fielder at cleanup is retarded, but even more so tonight. Aren't we facing Sabathia? A LHP?

I really hope this does not happen as it could affect the number of innings Hamels pitches. Now if we are ahead after 5 it would be a real kick in the gut to the Yankees if the game was called after that.

After not finishing until 2:44 on Tuesday morning, the Yankees and Rangers may face some more rain today. AccuWeather says there could be thunderstorms during tonight's game. Bring your umbrellas and -- judging from last night -- maybe a sleeping bag.

Bleacher Report has Rangers dropping from #2 to #3 in power rankings. Reason? Losing Derek Holland and Colby Lewis to DL.

Latest MLB Power Rankings

Yeah, that was a bit of some BSPN nonsense, I usually expect a little better from Bleacher Report. Having the Cubs ahead of the Rangers was just dumb.
