If that trade guarantees a World Series for Texas? I pull the trigger all day. But there are no guarantees. Wasn't that long ago Philly got knocked out of the NLCS with a rotation of Lee, Hamels, and Halladay.
They also had the still-effective Roy Oswalt- Halladay, Lee, Hamels, and Oswalt was just a ridiculous 1-4 and made the Phillies think they had all but guaranteed themselves a World Series. Can't say that I blame them either. But it just goes to show that a dominant rotation isn't enough to win it all. One or two bad games by your stud starters and you're done in a series. SF beat them with Lincecum, Cain, a young Bumgarner, and timely hitting.

I really hope this does not happen as it could affect the number of innings Hamels pitches. Now if we are ahead after 5 it would be a real kick in the gut to the Yankees if the game was called after that.

After not finishing until 2:44 on Tuesday morning, the Yankees and Rangers may face some more rain today. AccuWeather says there could be thunderstorms during tonight's game. Bring your umbrellas and -- judging from last night -- maybe a sleeping bag.

They didn't have Cliff Lee in 2010. The Rangers did. The Halladay/Lee/Hamels/Oswalt rotation was 2011, and they lost in the NLDS. Which is even more notable.

That is why the Division series round scares me. The best team is more likely to lose in a 5 game series, it is usually more of a toss up. In a 7 game series, the better team usually prevails.

Bleacher Report has Rangers dropping from #2 to #3 in power rankings. Reason? Losing Derek Holland and Colby Lewis to DL.

Latest MLB Power Rankings
I pay no attention to those things. I just want to win the WS. Someone else can have the top spot in the power rankings during the regular season.

Profar playing I understand but Fielder at cleanup I don't get. Oh well seems like we get something new every game and I can't argue our success.

Profar playing against a LHP actually makes zero sense, he's been awful against them
