Anyone else see Carter and Langford hitting behind Semien and Seager next season?
Probably not Langford in April. Like Carter he will probably have to start a little lower down.Anyone else see Carter and Langford hitting behind Semien and Seager next season?
As long as both are in the lineup. To have a healthy Jung and Heim in there with Seager, Semien, and Garcia is going to be a really nice lineup. I didn't mention Lowe but it would be nice if he was hitting more like last year. There will be no rest with this lineup. Duran and Taveras on the bench.Anyone else see Carter and Langford hitting behind Semien and Seager next season?
Dunning won't need to piggyback with anyone, besides Leclerc, when Leclerc comes in for the 9th inning.
Agree that Duran will be on the bench but not Taveras(think he gets traded). We need a 4th outfielder who can play all 3 outfield positions to give them days off especially Carter and Langford who have never played a 162-game season. As long as both are in the lineup. Just can’t see them trading Lowe. Moving him down in the order probably but trading him noIf the Rangers are going to spend money on starting pitching this offseason, then they will probably trade a veteran or two for relief pitching. The guys most frequently mentioned are Lowe and Taveras. If that is the case we will probably have at least one, maybe two more, younger guys to hit at the bottom of the lineup.
Also, a lot of folks are hoping Carter leads off. Myself, I would rather Carter hit third, fourth, or fifth. I think he will leadoff though.
Eventually I would like to see Carter lead off and Langford bat 4th. Seiman 2nd and Seagar 3rd.Anyone else see Carter and Langford hitting behind Semien and Seager next season?
Don’t see Bochy moving Semien and SeagerEventually I would like to see Carter lead off and Langford bat 3rd.
Probably not. I just like the lefty, righty, lefty and righty.Don’t see Bochy moving Semien and Seager
Not sure I would be in favor of that… I like how the bottom of the order is delivering. I would kinda like to see Semien up his game a bit in support of them.
I don't know that they will, but something has to give if we are to sign starting pitching amd find several relief pitchers. Maybe they don't sign a starting pitcher or maybe they don't sign more than one relief pitcher and keep Lowe.Just can’t see them trading Lowe. Moving him down in the order probably but trading him no
With Garcia, Jung, Langford & probably Garver & with Heim a switch-hitter the middle of the batting order will be right-handedProbably not. I just like the lefty, righty, lefty and righty.
With 13 free agents (including Heaney and Leclerc) we will clear around around 65M from 2023 salary. Even allowing for arbitration numbers we should have room to sign Montgomery, Stratton, Leclerc & maybe even Garver and still sign Hader and 2 or 3 relievers and stay under luxury tax. And more importantly deGrom goes on the 60 in February which removes his 40M from counting against the luxury taxI don't know that they will, but something has to give if we are to sign starting pitching amd find several relief pitchers. We had the discussion a while back about how much money they have to spend next year. You and Sportrac disagreed and I went eith Sportrac. With 13 free agents (including Heaney and Leclerc) we will clear around around 65M from 2023 salary. It is disrespectful to him, I think.Isn't Dunning the obvious starter tomorrow? Curious why he hasn't been officially named yet. Injury issue?
