The Orioles starter tonight, Dean Kremer, is pitching despite having family members caught up in the Israel-Gaza conflict. I can’t imagine how he’s going to be able to go out there and perform. Will he be able to rise above the anguish I’m sure he’s feeling and hurl a gem for them? Or will it all be too much for him to take?

I just don’t know how guys like Kremer and Nathaniel Lowe are able to go out and play in a game with such heavy hearts and so much on their minds. I get that life has to go on, and other everyday people persevere through hard times as well, but these guys have millions of people watching them. That’s why I haven’t said a word about Lowe’s performance over the last few games. I don’t like when he strikes out or makes an error, but I honestly can’t say I would do any better in his shoes.

Rough stuff. Some are glad to do whatever their profession is as it helps them to forget everything for a few moments in time.
Baltimore is loaded in starters with the 3 they have put out there including tonight.
It's also why I try not to take things like a sporting event too serious because life is tough. We have a 42 year old daughter who is legally blind, can’t walk nor talk and is like a 1 to 2 year old. She keeps a person grounded in what's important and at the beginning of Thanksgiving week I take a team down to the New Braunfels area for a 10th time to work with 12-17 year old girls at a CPS facility. Do a big BBQ for them with a number events and talk and pray with them. Their stories will rip your heart out but they are always so glad we came.
Keep things in perspective gang.

"I'm excited! C'mon, I'm excited. I was watching Gunsmoke and fishin' in the pond this time last year." -Bruce Bochy, on 105.3, when asked if he was excited about tonight.

DT - even Gunsmoke can get a bit unexciting
lol

1) Eovaldi being able to command both sides of the plate

2) Laying off of Kremer's cutter

3) Don't get over pumped-up by the crowd; keep a disciplined approach

Man... that's real life and really gives perspective on things. To be honest that about made me shed a tear.

I appreciate that and didn't mean to do that but I love the Rangers and I get as uptight as the rest of you but then I remind myself it's just a game. So I will be freaking out with the rest of you tonight. LOL!
