Exactly. I would make him offer but I wouldn't go overboard. I might regret that but relievers are quirky. Many can be lights out for a year or two and then turn into garbage.

I wonder if he will want a one year deal to prove himself and then get an even bigger payday.

I would be willing for the Rangers to keep him for that amount. He is getting some really valuable experience. He has had a tendency to crash and burn but so far so good. Worth the risk for 1 year.

That is probably cheaper than an alternative reliever.

The offense has to get going. We were lucky today. How we escaped Sborz and Chapman is baffeling.

They need to find a way to get creative without Chapman in there….they got lucky and got out of it today but that won’t happen often when you put yourself in the hole, he put them in, in the 8th.
