did you know: the all time worst baseball record was the cleveland spiders in 1899. yes you did! but did you know cy young was on this team every year UNTIL 1899? also, he never won the cy young award!!!!!
cy young and several other hall of famers on that team were moved to the new st louis (same owners) team explaining why the 1899 was so bad ... like the sox! prior to 1899 the spiders had 7 winning seasons.

The Sox have a fun player in Birmingham named Rikuu Nishida. A 2nd baseman who if 5'6" and 150 lbs.
He scored 112 runs this year - had 26 SBs - hit a combined .307 - combined OBP - .406 - OPS - 750.

Last night's Sox starter - Sean Burke is the first of the ten top of the rotation buys to make to the Bigs. Thorpe and Cannon - do not have classic top of the rotation stuff - they are pitchers who have excellent control - and are usually thought of as middle of the rotation talent. h I don't know if Davis Martin - even gets to the Thorpe or Cannon level.

I think Jacob Amaya might be a better waiver wire signing than all the other crappola the Sox brought in this year.

The irony of ironies. Finishing with the worst record in modern baseball history, yet due to these new fucked up MLB rules, we're not drafting until 10th. The nine teams before will be laughing their collective asses off.

Projection time. I think I'll be generous in saying we have 4 wins left in the tank. That would leave us ending with a 35-127 record. That doesn't even look real.

I wasn't banking on that super rare 3 game winning streak a short while back. If we drop these final 6, which would end the season with an 11 game losing streak, I'd only be one off with a 36-126 record. I think when Webster comes out with its annual updated dictionary, under the word 'disgusting', it should include the line: see the Chicago White Sox
