Bucs fire OC Byron Leftwich. As schmoopy pointed out, he went from a HC candidate last season to being fired pretty quick.
that run/pass ratio did him in, but with Brady, he looked the part for a while.Bucs fire OC Byron Leftwich. As schmoopy pointed out, he went from a HC candidate last season to being fired pretty quick.
I'm a little surprised that Roman resigned "to pursue other opportunities." Does that mean that the Ravens are just gonna let him sign with another NFL team as OC? Does his leaving help or hurt the Ravens' chances to resign Lamar Jackson?I find it interesting that alot of these HCs or OCs get fired after losing key personnel to injuries, either most or all of the year.
I think sometimes in the NFL today the knee jerk reactions to instant gratification is at an all-time high. & should hurt some of these teams.
I mean everyone knows if your star QB goes down your offense isnt gonna be as good. Yet they say well lets get rid of somebody at the end of a season.
Didnt the Ravens OC a coach people were high on? Now he loses Lamar & sometimes were on their 3rd string QB with their Main RB missing a bunch of time. Well. That fucker's out!
Seems like today. Lose a QB or a bunch of lineman, or any key players. Might as well just start packing your bags! LOL
The running didn't work at all what else was he suppose to do? It was also well known before the preseason how bad that oline was going to be. Every team likes a scapegoat....that run/pass ratio did him in, but with Brady, he looked the part for a while.

Cowherd was saying today that firing Leftwich was a move designed to try and keep Brady in Tampa. He said a source of his told him that the offensive staff wasn't detail-oriented enough for Brady. The running didn't work at all what else was he suppose to do? I don't think this is the case here. I'm sure Brady needed the sounding board. The running didn't work at all what else was he suppose to do? It was also well known before the preseason how bad that oline was going to be. Every team likes a scapegoat....
Leftwich got a bad deal. At the same time, Bowles inherited him and now he’s coaching for his job already after year 1. I get a coach wanting more control of his fate by wanting to pick his guy to be OC.The running didn't work at all what else was he suppose to do? but it's Cowherd,
greatest EVA!!!The RTK of Packers fans...
That would have been a fantastic hire for NY. Callahan is an OL guru and understands how to scheme a great running game.Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Jets recently requested permission to speak with Browns OL coach Bill Callahan about their offensive coordinator vacancy, but that Callahan will be remaining in Cleveland after signing an extension with the team.
Brian Johnson is on Eagles’ the short list if Shane Stichen gets hired away as a head coach.Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Jets have spoken with Browns wide receivers coach/pass game coordinator Chad O’Shea and Eagles quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson about their OC job.
