Not sure I can add to the RB discussion.
And I certainly do NOT want to go digging around the stat cellar.

But I remember doing some research about a decade ago, and I wanna say that I discovered that historically-speaking, it's very rare to find an NFL team offense that has a top-10 passing offense and also has a top-10 RB.
That offense may be top-10 as a rushing offense, but they may not have a bellcow RB doing all of that running.

I think the blueprint today has changed with running the ball.
Doesn't mean that some NFL teams won't try to run all day.
But if your RB is your most elite piece on your team, you cannot succeed in today's NFL if everyone else is worse than your RB.

Of course, this doesn't apply to fantasy.

Can anyone explain why the Bills seem to dislike Dawson Knox so much?

Is it that he doesn't fit into the offensive scheme, or maybe Josh Allen just doesn't like him?

They love Fort Knox. It’s two birds, one stone.
We needed TE depth and a slot upgrade. Now we need neither.
Kincaid is not a blocker. Knox has nothing to worry about. Sherfield, or the others brought in for MacKenzie/Beasley replacements, need to worry. Probably not good for Shakir either.

That's a high pick for one not to be starting.

Sure, and I'd pretty much agree, although it begs the question, what is the measure of "succeed"? Is it SB win, and nothing less, in which case every team but one is a failure every year, no matter what position their best player is offensively. Is it making the playoffs? In which case the Titans and Henry, maybe even DeMarco Murray to an extent, beg to differ for much of the past decade.
And depending on how far back 'today's NFL' goes, if it's at least a decade- Marshawn Lynch and the '13 Seahawks would also arguably disagree. RW may have been the QB, but as a 2nd year starter- Beast Mode was arguably the best offensive player.

There just so many variables, many of them being unquantifiable it's tough to get a definitive fact.
But for me, the importance, relevance, value, whatever term you choose to use, on the feild, starts at the ball, and works it's way outward, becoming less valuable, less relevant, less important, the further away you get. So QB, Oline, RB, TE, then, dead last, WR. And in 40 years, I've seen nothing to suggest that's not true.

He’ll be “starting”. Fewer three-wide sets and more double “TE” sets, likely headed by the latter I assume.

Certainly not ideal for fantasy, I suppose.

I heard they loved Kincaid and had him VERY high on their board. They were shocked he was there.

Hes just not that good as a receiver.

  • Dawson Knox is coming off back-to-back top-10 seasons in terms of fantasy production, but this was largely due to playing in a high-scoring Bills offense led by quarterback Josh Allen.
  • He produced a 63.7 PFF receiving grade over the past two seasons, which is the second-lowest among tight ends with at least 750 routes in that time.
  • His fantasy production has largely come from touchdowns, where his 15 are third-most among tight ends in the same time period.

Don't we want TDs from a TE? I mean, really, what else is there? ;)

Luis Aguilar of the Philadelphia Stars (USFL) went 8-of-8 on FGs yesterday...including the game winner.
He hit from 22, 42, 56, 36, 27, 51, 49, and 55, scoring all of his teams' points.
That's 32 points in fantasy.
I wonder if he'll end up in the NFL.

By coincidence i had the Memphis - N'Orleans game on... it was the wackiest thing...
The OC is holding the playcard up to hide his mouth, and at the same time the sideline reporter has the mic up to his chin so you can hear every word over the air.

Wow you got an invite to write for Fantrax? Cool. Course most of us have no experience, so no email. Lol.
Well, I didn't know if it was sent to anyone with a Fantrax account or not? That's why I asked.
Makes me wonder if my Admin permissions from 2016 are still good? :noidea:
That's the last time I submitted to them.

Holy cow, it's still there...

Never used fantrax, but you had me looking at their openings @averagejoe. Sat down at my desk at my paid job and felt more like doing fantasy football than work.

However

Articles i submitted in 2015 and 2016 i was not paid for. Which was one reason i was not churning out content on a regular basis.
