I think Pederson got a very raw deal in Philly, and they sided with the wrong half of the issue (Wentz) and then to compound it, sent him packing too.

The guy beat BB and Brady with Nick friggin Foles..that alone gives him about 5 second chances in my book.
Seemed like Doug wanted to rehab Wentz and Howie wanted to move on. Just my 2 cents.

yesterday was the first time I was able to get a REAL look at Pacheco in game action. Kid has some electricity to his game for sure, and is a friggin handful, if you don't wrap him up, he's gonna bounce off you or run you over for a big gainer. however, I see why he was still there in the seventh as well. Either his vision, or his instincts, are crap, he left a ton of yardage on the field with bad angles and bad choices

hahaha..well at least he's got the positives of the electricity and the aggressive running, hard to tackle..yada yada.. over CEH, and apparently the durability leg up on McKinnon, so I get why he's currently holding the job. I'm not so sure I'd bank on him holding onto it going into next year though..time will tell, but there's reason to be concerned there if anyone is looking for a reason to sell high on him or a reason NOT to buy

chiefs done fucked up if they don't add another useful horse to that stable this off season with the FAs and rookies available.
luxury to know that they don't have to pony up for a headliner in Mahomes' prime seasons, but they could def use a good version of CEH

Id imagine this is McKinnon's last year. He is a very reliable receiver, he blocks, and he works his butt off but he'll be 31 next year.

CEH has durability and also has vision issues. I do think he'll stay on the team as a backup but he isnt challenging Pacheco.

My guess is the Chiefs draft a guy in rd2-rd4. I've seen mock drafts where the Alabama RB drops to pick 30 or pick 31 and imo if that happens then he is likely BPA by a mile. I strongly suspect he'll be gone by the time the Cowboys or Bucs pick but I think this is probably the only scenario where Pacheco loses the starting job. That said, the vision issues are real so maybe someone else comes in. From a fantasy standpoint, you want the best receiving back on the Chiefs because they run the crossing pattern thats often a free TD with Mahomes extending plays. I dont think thats Pacheco so there probably wont be a dominant Chiefs fantasy RB next year

I disagree. But i know nothing.
Pacheco is on a rookie deal. Chiefs biggest need imo is to get a WR to replace Tyreek. I dont trust any KC WR.
To his credit, MVS played awesome on Sunday. But he is not consistent. None of those WR are. Put a WR out there who makes defenses worried (besides Kelce) and Pacheco will have more room to run. No vision necessary.

I did say rd2-4 but I do agree that RB isnt their top need. To me, if you have a screaming need then Free Agency is often the place to look, though.

Chiefs needs in general are actually somewhat difficult to predict. They could upgrade at RT absolutely. But they're also a top 5 oline with RT being the weak spot. They could also choose to not sign Orlando Brown Jr to a mega deal or cut Joe Thuney with his big deal.

Chiefs could part ways with Juju or MVS. None or both. They picked up Toney and Skyy Moore and they both fit in a similar role. A couple of the guys in their rd1 draft range might also fit that role (Flowers, Downs, JSN if he drops) and thats not very useful to the Chiefs.

Chiefs dline moving forward is Chris Jones, Karlaftis, and ???

I think Juan Thornhill is fairly replaceable but they would need to invest in that.

So maybe they just take another flier on a RB to replace McKinnon, draft a WR, and S, pick up FA dline, and re-sign their oline. Or maybe its totally different. I don't know. I dont think Veach picks this draft to try and find a WR. They are more likely to find a stud at TE or RB where they are drafting if i had to guess although neither pick would be popular with Chiefs kingdom. Then again, Veach loves to trade so moving up for a WR could happen

can someone speculate as to how the EFF the Saints are currently 60 million over the confirmed 2023 salary cap, with no discernable talent on the roster and only about 5-6 mil in dead money?? How is that possible?

Didnt they move money forward for years? Those Brees teams were really stacked.

Instead of rebuilding, they went all-in on the draft last year to get Olave and an OT. Seems like the only team in the league that forgot that the QB is important.
