Hard to say.
Stidham has a year with Skippy Mcd and the Pats that Cam does not.
Stidham does not have an injury history.
Stidham does not have an MVP.
Stidham does not have playoff experience.
Stidham can move better than Brady, but not as well as a pre-injury Cam.
I just feel like Cam is a 1 million dollar workout. First he has to beat Hoyer, then he needs to beat Stiddy.
$1 mil for a former MVP is dirt cheap. It's almost charity to bring him in and give him a chance at this point, it's not about the money, it's about prove you can still play.
Hoyer knows the system, but if Stiddy goes down Hoyer is not going to carry us to the promised land.
A healthy Cam? Yeah. Seriously, yes he could.
But if the foot fails, or the shoulder fails...see yah!!!

And the risk become not knowing if the foot and shoulder will hold up. So if Stiddy goes down you risk your season either way.

The way I see it currently Stid #1 Cam #2 Hoyer #3 this team has carried three QBs in the past.

Because he’s not ready mentally to concede his QB1 status and serve as a veteran mentor. Hoyer is a much more suitable backup if Stidham is the starter.

Officially the Patriots had $1.3M left under the cap. I can't find a single cut. If Newton was signed for $7.5M then there had to be a blood trail.

The quickest way to pick up $6M would be to cut Marcus Cannon.

They cannot sign Newton Unless they have the cap space, they can't can't sign him and the make cuts.

Who's gone????

the pats had been coming up previously in some of the Cam rumors.

does this indicate they don't really believe in Stidham?

Time to upgrade the logo on this forum. Still says sportshoopla.com instead of .la.

And the matter of the QB of course. Get the new guy up there in all his flamboyant glory.

Playoff experience? If by playoff experience you mean what Cam did in the 2015 Super Bowl then I'm glad Stidham has no experience.

Cam’s injury status will help mitigate the cap situation. Probably all of the incentives will be NLTBE since he wouldn’t’ve earned most or all of them last year, so they shouldn’t need a ton of space in the short term to make it happen.

He at least got to the SB. That takes winning at least two games where the pressure is win or go home.

True, but as the stage gets higher the clutch get better. For Christ's sake... dive for the fumble when the game is on the line.

I didn't hear him say anything about Joe Flacco's or Ryan Fitzpatricks contract. I wonder why?

The Pats played this well. No one else showed interest. The Pats had all the leverage. Good for them.

So Cam's medical issues were his shoulder and ankle. He was know for arm strength and mobility. There is some basic math here that eluding me.

That's it in a nutshell. And to H with Sherman none of his business anyway
