Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. He looks like someone who pretty decent at pass blocking to me, his run blocking isn't nothing special, especially for such a big guy.

Are you looking at him as a guard? His footwork is terrible and he is far to slow to play tackle in a zone scheme

I didn't see anybody getting by him on speed rushes on his game tapes. Sets up quickly and doesn't get bowled over. So I disagree with your footwork complaint. To me his biggest fault is he's to passive, especially at run blocking.

Prediction for 49ers #7: Deforest Buckner

Hope for 49ers #7: Trade way, way down and take Taylor Decker (or trade out of the 1st round completely and take Connor Cook).

Arizona - #29 - Nkemdiche or T.J. Green(Clemson FS)

Arizona is a BPA team. So I can see them grabbing anyone who drops who is high on their board. And if enough highly ranked guys from their board drop to them at #29, I can see then trading back to early second round.

Seeing as I see him as being like Darnell Dockett, you guys can sign in 10 years after his career is done in AZ.

 Touché.

By the way, I as one of the 1% non-niner-homers who said that was a bad signing.

I just didn't think he would get his explosiveness back that soon after acl surgery. His explosiveness made him who he was. When the Niners signed him to that contract, I was surprised.

For the love of God, just keep Wheaton away from special teams/punt returns. Please?
Yea that was a complete failure. Made it look like Wheaton hadn't fielded a punt all season until that week leading up to the game in Denver.

What about Karl Joseph? It's sounding more and more like he's going to sneak into the back part of the first.
I would love to get Karl Joseph. I think he will be there in the 2nd. But, I would be very happy to get him in the 1st, too.

He isn't big enough to nose or 2 gap at all really he will be 3tech in a 43 or 4tech in a 34 @Big_Blue_72 pointed him out to me earlier heres his rather impressive game tape if you haven't already checked it out Javon Hargrave | Draft Breakdown Nice swim move, motor, instincts, and vision. guys his size usually slip further than they should though(Geno Atkins, Grady Jarrett, and Xavier Cooper). Maliek Collins from Nebraska is pretty similar too you should take a look at him

I've seen his tape. Yes, to be considered in the top 100 picks from a small school, you'd expect him to be dominant and he was...the 6 sack game he says put him on the map.

Coach Mitchell (DL and asst HC) was sent to his pro day and the feedback was very positive from my understanding. Speed and agility for his size was top shelf...strong but not a brute...were the comments I heard. In terms of his position...idt they're looking for the traditional run stuffing 2-gap type NT that high...Steelers are playing some 4 DL fronts along with their 3-4 base, but with his quickness and size, I think this player can rotate outside to DE in the 3-4 to spell those guys, and be in the big nickel pkg...the Steelers seem to think his stock is rising beyond 89...noted on Collins...I have not heard him mentioned in conjunction with PIT.

My semi-realistic Chiefs big board on who I think they'd take:

1) Paxton Lynch
2) Taylor Decker
3) William Jackson III
4) Trade out of first round if there are takers
5) Chris Jones

Consensus for the Browns is there is none. I've seen predictions everywhere from drafting Elliott to trading down, to reaching for Paxton Lynch.

No one has any clue what the browns front office will do here.

I think the Cowboys take Bosa unless Jerry overrules the scouts and takes Elliott

It's starting to look like Lynch will be going earlier that previously expected. Rumors around that he could go the Browns at #8, the Saints at #12, and the Bills and Jets are interested and may trade up from #19 and #20 respectively to go after him. Does that pull Cook and/or Hackenberg into the late 1st as a result?

I don't think it'll happen. The Browns were already in position to take a QB and instead traded for more picks. With the consensus being that Lynch is clearly behind the other 2 QBs, it doesn't make sense to me for Cleveland to reach for him in the top 10 when much better prospects are still around.

Assuming the 2 QBs go 1-2, then the top remaining picks are Ramsey, Bosa, Stanley, Buckner, Tunsil, Elliott, Jack

I'd be surprised if Cle took someone outside of that group.

I agree. Honestly, I'm coming around on the idea of taking an OT in the first, even if we stay at 8. If we were still at 2 I would hate the idea, but this might not be bad at 8 given how many picks we have picked up for ourselves this year. If we were to snag Elliott, I would be ecstatic. There are some solid options later on in the draft at OT that would be interesting, so it's not an absolute must have, especially since it's not even the LT that we need right now.
