well sticking with the theme of positivity.
He will have plenty of tread on the tires. Not worn down by the time he hits the NFL. Also. He was a day 3 pick. So if he does end up a Dunbar :noidea:
Assuming the best in every scenario often just gets you to the trainwreck we were last year! Smart football people realistically play out the possibilities in their head before hand and have contingency plans in place. Let's hope tweedle dee and tweedle dumb let the football people do that. I think our protection in the run game this year is what should be a much better run blocking OL and just flat out throwing a bunch of guys out there (including Blue of course and maybe mostly Blue?) and hoping at least one works out, Plus you can always grab a RB in late August/early September if you need one. I'm still trying to figure out what Carolina is planning exactly:

Hubbard
Dowdle
drafted Etienne in the 4th
Brooks on IR

I think until the picture becomes more clear.
We use Williams for the hard yards. & hopefully Blue can take advantage of holes our refreshed OL gives him with speed & vision.
they can get 10 to 15 carries. 25+ carries as a team & dak can be surgical not having to carry the offense.
We dont have a workhorse on the team, but as RBBC can we control the clock?

I actually think Williams is going to be pretty good for us and be the clear #1 early on and with luck Blue eats into that more and more as the year goes on. I know a lot of people feel like since his injury he hasn't been the same and I can't argue that because he definitely hasn't been, but he is another year removed from the injury and he just turned 25 last month. I don't have high hopes for Sanders and think he is done, but I'm really thinking we could end up with a steal in Williams

I remember Williams looking like Adrian Peterson against us in 2021 going for 111 and 2 TDs on 17 carries. Hopefully one more year past his surgery can get him back closer to his pre injury form. And I am not big on Sanders but he did go for 1269 and 11 TDs a couple of years back. Plus a promising rookie in Blue and a sleeper in Mafah. At least they brought in more than just Zeke like last year

Blue needs lots of carries. He brings the speed this offense lacked at the RB position last year. I think he plays faster than the 40 he ran. Williams,Blue and Mafah are who I hope make the roster

I think Williams and Blue could compliment each other really well. Blue and Jake Ferguson should have really big years in the passing game IMO, because they are going to get favorable matchups with both Lamb and Pickens getting major attention

I completely expect. You want to pressure our QB. Dump off screen to Blue & hopefully a couple times takes it to the house. (definitely moves some chains) That slows down any rush.

Yep. And I actually feel pretty good about Milton. If he has to step in, Especially if it's just a game or two. He could pull it down and run for 100 yards against the fronts we should see
