Yeah it is looking more and more like Gilbert ain't gonna make it to our pick. I'm gonna go ahead and call it on that one. This leaves me leaning towards a trade down from the first. The amount of talent from 29-50 is just outrageous right now. We need to get some more picks in that area.

not enough spots... at least at Key areas of weakness IMO.

Allen Robinson to Seattle would be scary. Wilson likes to throw jump balls to his WRs and makes timely plays; Robinson is probably 2nd to Landry at attacking the ball in the air and they're tied when it comes to timeliness.

Is it homerism on my part to want Arob over Odell?

Every single one of these mocks has Seattle winning the superbowl so I'm disregarding due to their lack of intelligence.

The draft position of the last 4 teams still alive in the playoff are not based on who will win the SB but based on their records ... Denver has a better record than New England and Seattle has a better record than San Fran, therefore they are placed @ 31 and 32 respectively. The Niners have a better record than NE, that's why they are @ 30...

Side note: as an tOSU fan, thanks for Larry Johnson Sr, Penn State.

Really shocked over that. Sad for the legacy part... Larry was part of the PSU family

but we got Franklin in the end... i'll roll with that

Other than the top 5-10 picks i think these NFL.com drafts are way off. You can't have Watkins going 16th. That's never going to happen. We will have a much better idea after the combine.

No it's completely sane. Beckham is nothing special first of all and without Arob the Nittany Lions easily have a losing record, Bill O'Brien doesn't have a job in the NFL, and he'd probably would have more production with most other college teams.

Beckham = Emmanual Sanders / Allen Robinson = Michael Crabtree

Traitor! I wanted Johnson over Franklin. He must be really intrigued by the true freshman on the DL over there

Haha. I hope he. Rings Holley with him. Joey Bosa is a beast of a freshman.

Hagemen is a classic boom-or-bust candidate. He has dominant stretches of play and long dry spells as well. He plays all along the defensive front but I believe he looks most comfortable when he's on the edge. As a pass rusher, he has a very quick first step and a jolting punch to jar blockers. As a run defender, he is loose enough to wrap around blockers and flatten to the football from the backside. He needs to add more functional strength to consistently hold the point of attack on the play side. His pad level needs to be lowered against both the run and pass.

difficult spending a 1st rounder on "a classic boom or bust candidate"? consistency in any professional sport is huge.

Nix has the body of a 3-4 nose tackle but he has the quickness and agility to play as a shade in a 4-3 defense. Against the run, he has quick hands to lock out solo blocks but he needs to do a better job of resisting pressure when he’s doubled. His combination of loose hips and quick hands make him an effective interior pass rusher. He has the power to push the pocket but he doesn’t do it as much as he should. His effort is solid.

this works better for me
