He's juicing. No way a 33 year old physically improves like he has naturally.

Nate McLouth.... a Tigers Board favorite. Lol

I was excited about getting McLouth. He was always solid in Pittsburgh, then he became a less expensive version of BJ Upton for us.

He made the mistake of being clean.

He's a Michigan kid, he was a name that got bounced around a lot. I was for bringing him in a few times.

He would have been a fine defensive replacement and pinch hit option.

I think he was using 4 to 5 years before it's documented. His power output was on a downward trajectory, then it went north for some reason.
Not true.

Bonds was documented to have begun using after '98.

4-5 years before that would be '93-'94, which was the beginning of his athletic prime.

If he was putting up ungodly numbers at age 39 because of steroids, why on Earth would his numbers at age 28 be significantly worse?

No, Bonds was CAUGHT using in 98/99. There is no such thing as a document to prove he didn't use before then. He at least refined his use after the BS home run race of 98, but they had become wide spread before and I'm betting he chested earlier.

Numbers absolutely do not support this, but whatever floats your boat.

There's no "decline" prior to the 4-5 years you state he may have been using.

Look, I get it, I can't stand the guy either, but the case you're attempting to make here has more gaping holes than a Vietnamese prostitute.

Bonds never had a 40 hr season till 1993 when he was 28 years old. That is also the year PEDs became prevalent in MLB.
I agree it's far from proof, but knowing his character my guess is he did use, just not as scientifically as he did with Balco.

Speaking of The Upton Bros. I see Justin is having a resurgence, go figure.

You're out of your mind.

Barry Bonds, pre-PEDs, is the only guy in baseball history to hit 500 HRs and steal 500 bags.

1990-1999 Barry Bonds was the best hitter of my lifetime, until juiced-up Barry Bonds replaced him.

Bonds played 14 more seasons after he hit 46 at 28 years old. He hit more homers than that in two of the fourteen seasons.

Cabrera didn't hit 40 till he was 29. And he's currently second in your poll for some unknown reason.

Cabrera hasn't been caught, Bonds has. That makes it more likely he cheated before.
Thome's career looks very suspicious. He hit exactly 40 hrs once before he turned 30. Then from 30 through 35 years old starting in 2001 he hit at least 40 4 straight and 5 0f 6 seasons, he was injured the other season. Again though, he wasn't caught.

Thome is a roider. Just like Bonds.

As in both never tested positive.

I'm sure tubby shits like Greg Maddux and Tony Gwynn were roiders.

Who fuckin cares?

I care, and no way Maddux or Gwynn used.
Also, Bonds used to the max, he was caught and has confessed.
