If they are exact sure; however, multiple conversations are easier to follow if you keep them separate.

Yeah, if someone posts "Rak injured his thigh" and 5 seconds later someone else posts "Rak injured his leg" then merge.

But threads about Rak injuring his thigh shouldn't be merged with threads talking about Devery Henderson getting cut simply because it falls into a big "preseason talk" grab bag thread.

If that continues, this place becomes useless and unreadable.

I agree. If its the Same topic, merge. Otherwise keep separate. It does get a bit confusing.

Furthermore, I'd say if it says Orakpo on one thread and Orakpo leg injury on another...do not merge.
