Ask Puerto Rico if they feel like Trump has their back?? Ask the federal workers who went six weeks without pay and some of them have still not gotten their back pay as salaried employees if they feel like trump has their back??

He aint the first president that has shut down the government. Just saying. When Clinton shut the gov down for 21 days and Obama 16 were you feeling the same thing about them having the back of their workers... or is it a 22 day threshold that puts it over the top. Asking for a friend.

The difference is that Trump claimed before the shut down that HE was going to shut it down and it was all his responsibility. It was a stupid statement that he has to take ownership of.

So the answer in your opinion is to make the people suffer even more?? If this were in Florida, or Kansas do you think the answer would be to cut off all aid, or to put federal officials in charge to make sure that the people actually got the aid??

That was a rhetorical question because if this happened in Red America Lindsey Graham would have made it a priority to fix in the senate.

And there in is the difference, you are much more concerned with punishing Dems. The reality is, if the local government isnt stepping up, the federal government should for the good of the people. Local government be damned. If these were mainland Americans, the National Guard would have

1. Ensured the aid was delivered to the people
2, Ensured that power and water were restored.

Put they are Puerto Ricans aka 2nd class Americans to those in charge.

Nope. We aren’t making them suffer. Their government is.

I am all for putting federal officials in charge if the local government is causing their people pain.

I am also for not ramming my head against a wall...over and over.

To be fair to AOC... I had an Aunt who was from the Bronx and she talked just like everyone else who was born and reared there. “Hey ya’ll, how boutcha nessle yourself on up here yonda and let ol Daisy Mae pour ya tall one.”

My God, she could have used that Southern Bell accent talking bout chicken dumplings and colt 45 and you never Trumpers would still come to her aid.
