Funny part is, half the country is in prime territory for Solar or Wind power on the individual level. Which would make a pretty good dent in the level of fossil fuels we currently use to power our society.

You didn't disprove anything. The stone cold fact is, even if America magically perfectly put the Green Deal into effect tomorrow, it wouldn't make a difference to the planets health, but it would set us back two hundred years.

No, we shouldn't not give a crap....but neither should we cripple our country, economy, way and quality of life in a globally destabilizing power shift all for some ultimately futile gesture based on a theory that roughly only half the worlds scientists even believe in, and even less still that do believe in it, feel said plan would be effective even if perfectly implemented.

Renewable energy is a multi-trillion industry waiting to happen, if that's destroying the country, then we'd better just fall behind the rest of the world instead of being what we once were...world leaders!

That's not how the world and development works. Replacing everything tomorrow is a weak assed argument in that it presents a premise that isn't factually based. In effect you can't replace it all tomorrow, it will take years, therefore there NOTHING that sets us back 200 years. Gee, fucking you up with your own words is kinda fun, want to keep going?
