& you accuse me of playing Madden football? Have you at least considered the possibility that AP is partially or completely washed up? You don't even consider the possibility that a 32 yr old RB coming off multiple injuries may not be the answer? Perhaps this is why several teams said "No thanks".

For THIS YEAR he could be the answer. Im not looking at this for long term. All I know is that Perine better step up. The guy is worth a late round draft choice. He is a mauler, he didnt fit in paytons system. Payton didn't even give him goal line carries. Which is laughable.

Just tell me this - when is the last time that you saw AP have a good game running the ball or make a stellar run?

It was likely almost 2 years ago. What makes you so confident that he has lost nothing in 2 years, being on the downside of his career & coming off a major injury? Again - you are thinking more of reputation then what he actually may be at this time. There is always the possibility that he is the exception, but you can't count on it nor blame anyone for passing on this guy.

arizona is the place old running backs go to die . emmit edgerin , chris johnson and now AP

dude roullier is a 6th rounder , niles paul is a 6th rounder spaight is a 5th ,

dude you dont waste draft picks on one year rentals , that is how we screwed 20 years of the team by trading picks for has beens

bringing up mack brown is our best move

if you want a washed up old RB give deangelo williams a call and save the draft capitol

He didn't fit in Payton's system and he doesn't fit in ours. He can block and catch.

I don't think a 6th rounder is much for what he can do. Just his presence in the backfield can make LB ply in the box and we can run serious play action off it. I wouldn't call a 6th rounder draft capital.

For what he used to be able to do.

Man...why didn't Sean Payton think of that.

He scares nobody.

I'm not sure that Peterson is done, he just can't be used as he was in prior seasons. That alone says to me that he would be used much like C. Thompson and/or M. Brown are/will be used here. To that end we are good, and honestly, not in need of help in that manner.

You have stated the rule correctly. The Zeke play was subject to the Refs determination of IF his forward progress had been stopped BEFORE he tried reaching out with the ball. Since forward progress in a pile is also subject to the whims of the Ref in question, they gave him the first down. From our perspective, its a good thing it didnt matter to the outcome of the game. But if he keeps trying that, I fully expect it to bite him in the ass because some one will catch on and start chopping at the ball when he tries it resulting in a fumble. Much like if a player is diving for the endzone, stretches out one hand and the ball comes loose when he hits the ground, he broke the plain, but the resulting play is usually ruled a fumble because he didnt maintain control when going to the ground.

Knowing how much favoritism that this team gets, even if someone knocks that "reach out" ball out of his hands, the refs would most likely say that his forward progress was stopped prior to the fumble.

@deanpet21, on that scoring run by Prescott, do you think that he should have done something other than score with a minute and change left on the clock? ........OR.......Do you think that the clock mismanagement issues that you speak of happened prior to that? If so, where?

He should have downed it at the one because it is really easy to score from there...ask Seattle.

I disagreed with the 2nd down pass play to Dez. If you run it there you burn huge clock or force GB to take a TO. That paly changes the whole game. I don't have a problem with the Dak run.
