WVU had some just last year skip the bowl and get drafted, Will Grier being one. Doesn't hurt their draft status one bit, if anything it ensures that they are not damaged goods and are 100% committed to being a pro rather than a CFB player from that point on.
Remember, those NFL teams are investing a lot of money into these guys, they want all they can get out of them at THAT level , not college level. I want the players to play too of course but... I get it, if Im in their shoes and have the info that says I'm prob getting drafted then I'm out as well unless its a playoff game. No sense risking a knee or worse over some bowl game swag at some meaningless bowl game.
