They got the game they needed from Bob, but the Pens played like it was an elimination game. Flat out hard to contain that firepower. If there's any solace to take from it, it's the best player in the world missing an empty net.

Game six should be a barn burner.

But this was a compete tan victory. Best game I've seen from the penguins in a long time. How they keep it up.

And how. I've seen two interference go uncalled the other way though, too. But that was too obvious and with 5 minutes left. Stupid.

Yeah, coach has to talk to him about that. I am pretty sure the thought crossed his mind "Well, that tackle of Wiz in the corner when play was at center didn't get called, sooooo"

Terrible, terrible loss of discipline.

Kudos to the Pens. Good, hard fought battle. Capitalized on the chances. Lot of shots, but not a lot were high quality areas.

Best performance from this squad as a TEAM in a long time. Refreshing. So refreshing. Also: MAF, bitches (it helps when your team insulates you and finally stops taking incredible amounts of penalties). You know what else was refreshing? HAVING A PLAYOFF CALIBER REFFING JOB. They got involved when they had to (broken stick on a slash, high sticks, really incredibly obvious interference penalties right in front of you), and let the game be physical. Bob finally put in a Bob-like performance, but ends up on the losing side. He was great tonight.

That's the same play I'm thinking of. The puck is up at the blue line and the forward takes 4-5 extra strides to wax him. Didn't get that no call.

It was TONS better, for sure. But there was a pretty big Interference call not made. Probably doesn't make a difference, but I obviously would have liked to see it called. And Bob took a stick to the face.

Not gonna say anything negative about the ones that were made. Wiz and Comeau have to play smarter there. Wiz can complain that they were both "sold" but he still took two steps to hit a guy from behind and got his stick up on the other. Stupid with a capital upid.
