How can Kapler escape not being fired? When I saw who he brought into close I knew it was over. Why does he think relief pitchers have to get as much rest as a starter in between appearances. Side note : Maybe a little sense of urgency on ball tapped back to pitcher. What is his IQ a minus number.

The Phillies are right about average (slightly better) in blown saves, saves, and save percentage. They're around average in runs allowed per game.

Also, it doesn't help that one of the guys they were counting on in David Robertson is hurt.

Do I think they can upgrade the bullpen? Absolutely. Do they need to rush in and sign Kimbrel because the bullpen is awful? No.

I Forgot about Robertson. I think ATL will eventually grab Kimbrel. Another month or two will determine if we need Kimbrel or Keuchel. Kimbrel’s the better of the two, IMO, and would make an interesting addition. Though I would miss Philly fans behind the plate mocking his chicken wing delivery.

ive never seen a for all intents and purposes, good team, be just so fucking embarassing so many times during a season

in reality this team just isn't any closer to being a true contender than they were last year. They are very fortunate the Nats and Braves have been so bad (Nats) or pitching so horribly (Braves)

I missed the game today but after reviewing the play by play, the Phlliies won a real shootout. Looks like Alvarez tried his best to blow another but Hector was the savior. Hail to Nola, 5-0.
