Because we had our big hitters all take a collective vacation against the snakes, any big hitter should be retained to provide even more threats to the opponent instead of being traded for admittingly two hit-or-miss younger players.

99% of the minor league system is hit or miss.
It is a near 0% chance that any of these players will be helping us in 2024.

Where was this guy going to play? Your infield is all set. He’s not playing over Stott or Turner or Bohm. At 26 he’s either gotta play now or he’s a career minor leaguer.

Exactly and he’s 26 already. The clock ran out and he’s blocked.

I’m sorry to bring this up again in case you guys have already been able to turn the page. I can’t get over this blown opportunity. I’m still shaking my head over losing 4 of 5 to the Diamondbacks. I don’t ever want to see Kimbrel take the bump for the Phillies again.

It is what it is.
Kimbrel was cooked, but that doesn't explain our inability to hit w RISP, our inability to lay off pitches outside the zone, etc.

Sh!t happens.

We are right where we need to be, having a chance every year.
That's all you can ask for.
Padres and Mets spent lots of $ and didn't even make the playoffs.

Phil’s are trying to do something few have done. In 3 years time, lose WS, lose LCS, and then win WS. Last time it was done was 04-06 Cardinals.

I believe this Pitcher is still available. It would be a start in the right direction for the Phils to sign this guy. Don't know if he is worth the money he is asking for and his present age but at least the Phils should be checking this dude out.

Interesting read and we are down the WAR list a ways. With Lorenzen and Kimbrel on the move, the Phils FO should aggressively attack potential pitching help this offseason.

He played for the Angels last couple of years and he is drawing alot of interest from people like the Yankees, Orioles, Rangers, and of course the Phillies. Wants 20+ million per season. Don't know if is worth that much but is a damn good starting picher. The Phils really should make an attempt to sign him seeing that Nola maybe gone soon as well.

Imagine being a Braves fan and saying that every year from 1996 through 2005.....

Yea me too, Cedrique. A quality guy and maybe he will push Realmuto a bit more to get him going in the post-season where he has a tendency to go to sleep!!

The Phillies did sign some players during the tender-non-tender process. Stubbs was one of those players along with Jake Cave and Dylan Covey!
