Finally, some action in the 4th as the blazing speed of Howard enables him to beat out a single thru the shift and drive in JRol who had tripled. Byrd then doubled then Ruf stranded the runners.

Marte golfs a 2-run homer off KK. 2-1 Bucos.

7th inning and KK is still hanging in there with 8Ks. Can I have some more god damn runs?

Bucos, a much better candidate for the playoffs. Back to the Giants-Lions game.

Franco, a single to center, then Brown walks. Revere up and he grounds to 2nd base which is bobbled, so bases are loaded, 1 out. Cesar is up to PH. Hail Cesar!

LHP Watson in to relieve. Cesar flies to center, Franco scores. 6-2. Utley up. He hits a two run triple to right.. 6-4. 2 outs in the 8th Howard up.

Howard's due for a homer. No chance to K, he's hit by the pitch.

Byrd up. Gwynn in to run for Howard. Byrd grounds out. Almost thought we were headed for an inning to remember. On to the 9th.

Last chance 9th. Ruf up against the lefty. He easily Ks on a low pitch just like Howard. Ruiz up.

Ruiz grounds out to 3rd. 2 outs. Franco up.

Franco grounds out to 3rd. Bucs win 6-4. Damn, now we can only take 3 of 4. Looks like the old guys need more sleep and the young studs, more seasoning. Good nite.

Looks like we didn't like single digits in the below .500 contest. Back to 11. These guys have such a love affair with the cellar. When it looks like we are getting out... ...Nope too scary to be out of the cellar!!

I had not realized that KK had a 111 pitch count end of 7th, then asked Ryno to let him stay in. Knowing how good Phils relievers have been, Ryno goofed badly here - Kendrick went out for the eighth inning and allowed three straight singles and then roof caved in. Screw you Ryno.

Ryno continues to make bad decisions and cost us games. Kendrick should have been done after 7 innings. He did well for a number 5 just keeping us in the game. We have 9 guys in the bullpen Why not use them? When Kendrick came out to pitch in the 8th I expected the worse.

No question that this board is dead. Probably won't wake up until next spring. Or maybe when trade time comes around.

Tomorrow, they should delete punchless Howard and Brown in favor of Franco and Ruf. Play Asche at third. Heck put in Cesar at 2nd and give Utley a rest. Put in Rupp for Ruiz. Byrd would be the only old guy in the field. Then use the old core to pinch hit. lol. I like it!
