Looking back at that 1987 team they had a pretty good offense for the 80's. The problem was their starting pitching looked like a bunch of number 4 starters. Also Bedrosian never would have won the Cy Young if he had that same season in the era we are in now. Back then they just picked the Cy Young winner from who they thought was the best of the 20 game winners. But since that season none of the starters won 20 games they somehow decided the closer on a mediocre team should get it.

I'm convinced that the Phillies can win 2 out of 3 or get a sweep on the road against any team in baseball (including historical teams like Murderer's Row or the A's from the early 70s), but the Marlins will still fuck us hard and fuck us fast during any series we play in their stupid ballpark (whatever they're calling it now). It's kind of like when Michael Jackson was molesting Macaulay Culkin... Culkin could have resisted the advances from any other man, but Michael Jackson just owned the kid psychologically.

Doesn't Bohm also just kind of look stupid to you? If it wasn't for baseball, I'm pretty sure truck driving would have been his ceiling. Plus, it's so cool to see Freddy back in a Phillies uniform.
