you know his brother is going to fuck up the no-hitter. It's scripted
I think that's doubtful. If Aaron even thought that that was a possibility he'd rear back and drill him in the head with 97. You know that those two have had beef for over 10 years... originally they were very close growing up as brothers but then in high school Austin (who went by Jessie back then) started dating this girl that Nola really liked. Aaron would look at himself in the mirror all the time, wondering aloud "What doesn't she see in me"... he'd been funny, he'd been cool with the lines... 'aint that the way love is supposed to be?

I didn't realize this was McCarthy's first game. He sounds good in that case. But I like the older McCarthy and Kruk. No one can match Harry and Richie but they are entertaining.

Speaking of Harry, I always wanted an alarm clock that woke me up with "LONG DRIVE..................."
I think Patrick had been doing the Iron-Pig games before, so I was a little off on that.

That alarm clock sounds awesome though.

I love T-Mac and Kruk together (particularly Kruk). And as much as we joke about Schmitty, I fucking love him in the booth as well. He is one of the most knowledgeable baseball guy and nowadays I find his old-man routine both extremely funny and entertaining as well as kind of interesting to listen to because I find myself agreeing with him 95% of the time these days, whereas when he first joined the booth in the early-to-mid 2010s, I thought he was totally out of touch and kind of annoying.

"When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years."

Perfect through six! Time to turn it over to the bullpen to see if they can close it out. Who's up first? That guy with the long hair and dorky glasses? Or the guy that gives up a hr every time he comes in? Or the other guy that gives up a hr every time he comes in?

Remember when Gabe pulled Nola after 5 1/3 innings pitched and 67 pitches thrown on Opening Day 2018 when the Phillies were up like 5-0 or something, and the fans went fucking crazy?

Not that Joe would do it obviously, but if he were to take out Nola while he still has a perfecto I'd honestly give him 48 hours to live.

Matt Moore is secretly hoping he gives one up

This is a total dick move on Aaron's part when you think about it. Big brother is hosting the whole extended family at his home park, showing them around San Diego and stuff. And then this attention whore has to pitch the best game of his career.

Nights like these are why I'm proud to be an atheist... imagine waking up for church tomorrow morning. Hopefully I'm not wrong though, because that would really suck to burn in hell for eternity

I thought everyone was getting a pass on sleeping late on Sundays because of the Delta variant

In all honesty, we should probably be surprised they've only made 1 error so far
