This year's version of the Phillies is more saturated with the Dildos than last year's team. Turner is a complete pile of garbage. A product of some FO knucklehead's idea of talent. The Phillies need to do what the Flyers have done. Get rid of the cancer and bring in people who really know what they are doing.

Lorensen pays immediate dividends and I have been screaming for years now for the dumbass FO to go after as many good-to-great pitchers as possible. The results are nearly always good. Just look at other teams with a lot of good pitchers.

I wonder if the Phillies even attempted to get into the Verlander trade talk before he was sent back to Houston. Maybe the Phillies didn't have the assets but at least find out what people were asking. But that is the difference between teams who make those sorts of deals and the Dildoes!!

They did better with Lorenzen. He didn’t cost much at all…a prospect that’s blocked by Stott and the Turner signing.

Hindsight is 20/20. Like the rest of us, you praised the Turner signing. Castellanos and Harper both had subpar first seasons with the Phillies. Turner will get straight. I don’t think it will be this season though. He looks like a broken man devoid of confidence now.

Where is Scott Kingery?!?!? They already paid him. He’s tearing it up in AAA. They have an issue at SS with Turner. Why not have Kingery come up and be your extra man? Dude can also play the OF as well. While I just said Turner will be better long term, they need a guy who can come in and play some middle IF now. If Kingery is here, you can sit Turner from time to time, move Stott to SS (I’ve said here multiple times, he’s a better defensive SS than Turner anyway) and play Kingery at 2B.

We shouldn't give up on Turner yet. Talented 11-year $300 mill guy in a bad slump. :L

"Tearing it up" is a stretch. He's doing well (.794 OPS), but he's 29 years old so I'd expect him to have become comfortable hitting AAA pitching by now. But he has the same lack of discipline at the plate as Turner, only he's been way less successful.

Another Aaron Nola implosion. I’m so happy that he and the Phillies never came to terms on an extension this winter.

Anyone else notice the Phillies fans as a whole have gone soft since Covid? Turner is getting treated way better than Lance Parrish. Then again maybe it started when CBP was built--there's no yellow seated 700 level

Maybe Schwarber should be next in line for the Participation Award treatment. He can’t hit his weight.

Yuck. Catch a 36 win baseball team when they're on a hot streak. That's their 7th in a row

Nola's inconsistency continues to contribute to a culture of losing when there should be none. We can't get any further pitchers this year by trade unless the clubs put them on waivers as what happened to Vasquez who is now with the Tigers as of Friday. Good pitchers don't go on waivers so the Dildoes are then forced to live with Nola or find somebody in the farm system which ain't happening either.
