Can’t win em all. It’s easy to second guess the Stott decision to steal. Personally, I don’t do that until there’s 2 outs and now I’m desperate to get the tying run in scoring position. Ninth inning insurance run changed the game. Back at it tomorrow.

The Phil’s thought they were signing Trea Turner, .300 hitter and terror on the base paths. They actually just signed the reincarnation of Dickie Fucking Thon. You might have to go back to Lance Parrish to find a Phillie FA that’s been as disappointing as Turner.

Yeah I give Stott the benefit of the doubt considering he was 16-1 in stolen base attempts. (16-2 now)

Well if he wasn't having a good year this year, you'd only have to go back to Nick Castellanos. Hopefully Turner will get going before the year is over. If not, the good news is, by 2033 his salary will be off the books.......

Do you remember me talking Corbin Burnes weeks ago in here? He’s still my guy and today showed why. We just need the Brewers to realize two things:
1. They don’t have a World Series team this year. Their lineup is ass after the first 3 hitters.
2. They are not willing to sign Burnes for what he’s worth so now is the time to trade him when another team has him controllable for one more year after this season. That nets them the greatest return in a league where every contender needs starting pitching.

I think Abel, McGarry and one or two other prospects outside of the top 15-20 in the organization gets it done.

I’d be in on Bellinger or Duval IF:
1. They don’t cost much in the way of prospects. Zero top ten guys from the farm is my expectation and my quitting point in talks for both guys.
2. We actually get to see Bryce at 1B BEFORE the trade deadline. Everyone is assuming he can and will make the move and things will be fine. Adding an OF makes no sense if you don’t see Bryce at 1B first.

Yeah he would be a great addition but the Brewers are 2.5 games up in first place so convincing them to be sellers might be tough.

Yep. That’s the fly in the ointment. I’m hoping they see themselves as pretenders and not real contenders. That being said…they have a WS caliber bull pen. That bull pen is sick and can carry a team if they can get a lead.

Wasting a great Wheeler start with no offense and poor communication on a pop up that should have ended the inning. This team is so weird. It’s been a season of streaks. It’s like they’re bipolar.

WTF, are we still buyers at the deadline?
Just for Duval in LF. Low A prospect. This team isn’t worth making a deal that costs you anything at the top of the farm.

Ricky Bo had a solid comment tonight. Right now anybody with 12 to 6 stuff is giving this lineup fits. The Phillies can’t spell curve.

As Harry Kalas might say, Turner is scuffling
He swings at ball 4 and completely fucked that inning. That silly son of a bitch can’t locate. That should have been a 4-5 run inning to start the game. Son of a bitch.

And a 1-2 pitch again. How many times has he given up a long ball with an 0-2 or 1-2 count? I understand if a guy gets you 2-0, 3-1, 3-2 when you have to make a pitch and you miss. Unacceptable how many 2 strike HRs he’s given up this year.

This team is so fucking frustrated.
