That’s a fun summer Friday night. 13 in a row on the road!
Nothing better than seeing them get the go ahead homer and then the save with two former Braves. I gotta say Pache has contributed more offensively in a month than I would have expected all year. In fact, when they got him I think my exact words were "he couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag"......

And you weren’t wrong. It’s the Marsh effect. These guys have some technical aspect of their swing where Kevin Long tweaks some shit with them and they start to drive the ball. So big when you can clown their closer in Game 1 of a series. That stuff can linger with them.

Looks as though the Phillies are coming into last year's form that led to a trip to the WS. 10-straight away wins and Stott is looking more like a .300 hitter. Nice development.

The Bitches are red hot right now. We have to get better and deeper pitching to stay with them.

I know it's a small sample size but watching Soto play the outfield the last couple days, he looks worse than Luzinski.

But not worse than Schwarber

Why does he leave Strahm in to face Machado and Bogarts?

Why is Strahm even pitching to Machado? He did his job last inning, bring in a righty.

For me, that’s not on Strahm. So shitty. Thomson shits the bed with that decision. Know you’re fucking guys, bro! Strahm has 5 pitches. No Alvarado, No Soto, Strahm can still pitch in Game 2 only having thrown 5 pitches. Now you have no Strahm in Game 2 and you put him in a horrible spot he’s not going to be successful in. Machado OPS in July is stupid like 1.400 or some shit. Infuriating. Let’s see if the other side of this, Vasquez having to be the lefty in Game 2 also comes back to bite them in the ass.

Great inning boys! The approach of Schwarber vs a lefty with runners on in a big spot is something that he really has been unwilling to do and today he did it in a big spot. For me, that’s my favorite part of this game so far. That’s why Schwarber hits .185. He has refused to adjust like that and I know he can do that. Good to see.

There’s no way they’re catching the Braves. It’s Wild card or bust.

Bring on the robot umps for ball and strike calls. This is embarrassing.
