Obviously, there are certain players we all want at that spot, but I won't be mad if another is picked over the guy I wanted. I just so happen to prefer one over the others. And there's nothing wrong with that, b/c I believe we won't mess that pick up. The 2nd and 3rd rounds(and so on) are the ones that will be interesting.

That is the right attitude to have when hoping the Lions are thinking the same way as the fans. See the year the fans crowded into Dick's Sporting Goods for the new logo reveal, and drowned out Tom Lewand with "AARON CURRY!' chants.

Come on -- this is the Lions we are talking about. No player is out of the question at #10. If Watkins falls to #10 somehow -- I'd wager the Lions draft him. I wouldn't even be surprised to see them take Mike Evans. Maybe it is the years of Millen as the GM or the numerous picks we've spent trying to fill the WR roles on this team. If they see a quality player who can fill the last spot at WR, I'm sure they will draft them.

The bright side if Detroit drafts a WR in the 1st round is -- They will have to spend the rest of the picks on defense, as the offense will be set at every position, but Center.

I don't remember any article saying whom they were taking. I wish I did, then this nonsense would stop. A more realistic reference would be last year, when I identified the Lions pick at 5 (Ansah) early and often, while the IC got all dreamy for a LT. They were wrong.

Or the year the IC swore up and down that Backus would be moved to G and the Lions were taking Jason Smith. Good times.

Then they wanted Oher. He sucks now too.

The best is when certain posters on this board wanted the Lions to pass on Suh, trade down, and instead draft BJ Raji.
