Pettigrew re-ups w Lions

Thats your opinion. Hes perfect for what the lions needed, he didnt cost a ton, hes hitting his prime, he is extremely talented, and he has great hands.

The hands and the toughness. He is a younger, albeit slightly less talented version of Steve Smith in that regard.

You cant catch a staffor throw with your chest. If you dont have good hands you cant play on Detroits offense as a WR. Bad enough we have Pettigrew, but at least he tends to drop the ball more after he catches and starts running and is usually only 10 feet from Stafford on his routes so there are not a ton of guys around to pick it off.

Calling the Tate signing brilliant is a little over board in my opinion. What does everyone see that I don't? He's not even as good as T.Y Hilton.

And if the lions draft evans they will be ok if CJ goes down? No they wont. CJ is an mvp and teams tend to struggle when they lose an MVP player. I dont get this mindset that we need another elite WR in case CJ gets injured.

I dont know if the Lions will be ok, certainly we wouldnt be as good, but a Evans/Tate combo would look a lot different than Durham/Ogletree. Again not saying we'd be as good but Evans/Tate would give us a fighting chance.

I agree...i think tate was a good signing because we have no WR's....but i think he will be better in the slot and we draft evans to play outside....tate would still be the 2 but when we go 3 wide tate moves in the slot....thats what i think since everyone says how it takes a few yrs for a CB to become ready....shouldnt our CB's we drafted a few yrs ago be ready this year?

Id be happy with watkins, evans, barr, mack or dennard....wouldnt be too mad if they took gilbert or traded back either....gonna be hard to mess this deep draft up.....knowing the lions they will draft lewan now that their line played well..

This I can agree with. There are a few positions that are weak on our team, and there are multiple players that will be there when we draft at #10 that can not only fill those needs, but be the BPA at that time. Obviously, there are certain players we all want at that spot, but I won't be mad if another is picked over the guy I wanted. I just so happen to prefer one over the others. And there's nothing wrong with that, b/c I believe we won't mess that pick up. The 2nd and 3rd rounds(and so on) are the ones that will be interesting.

He said first we were taking Dennard. But this thread changes his stance after reading what the F.O. said. And we are to believe what they say, no two ways about it. So we will be seeing Clowney in Honolulu blue and silver next year.
