Kinda hope that it is done though. With Melo, Paul, and Howard the Knicks would be yet another "super team" that couldn't afford to put anyone else around them and they would fail to win it all. If it happens a few times, players might stop trying to build 3 star teams.

The Knicks have NOTHIING to offer. New Orleans should trade Paul to the Clippers. That way he'd learn the true meaning of the word SUCK.

Some owners wanted to prevent it, not the league in general (because they know stars in big markets bring in huge TV numbers and overall revenue). The competitive balance issue was a fraud because it's almost an impossibility in basketball. The real issue was guaranteed profit and the owners made gains in that area by reducing player BRI from 57% to 50%.

Actually, the Clips could put a very good offer on the table. And sources I've read said Paul wouldn't be opposed to playing with Griffin and the Clips. But its still the Clippers afterall...

If any team is stupid enough to pick up the phone from Kupchak they deserve to be fired.

One would think the rest of the league would learn from the past. Kareem, Magic, Worthy, Scott were all obtained through lopsided trades.

The only piece Kupchak has worth anything is Bynum. Gasol isn't the player he once was.

The league better think long & hard about trading Paul. They better get excellent value for him because a new owner isn't going to buy the team if they get garbage.
