I haven't seen any details as to if Paul George has agreed to a long term contract with The Thunder but if not it most likely is a one year rental.

Trade that basically does little for OKC, and virtually nothing for Indy.
OKC got a little more out of the deal, but its only a one year thing.

George will never ever re-sign in OKC. Literally that is the last fucking city this side of Salt Lake that he wants to live in. He was iffy on a cosmopolitan city like Miami yet alone Oklahoma.

The Thunder will not be any better than GS, SAS, or HOU with Paul George for one year????
Indiana takes a mediocre package.

What the fuck is the point of the trade???
I guess OKC just wanted to dump salary cap issues going forward.

And what did Indy want? That's the question.

If other (better) deals existed... and reliable journalists said that they did... what the hell, Indy?

Never trust a guy with 2 first names.

I like this for the Thunder but we know nothing until players get locked up

The reason OKC did they trade with no guarantees, is to ensure Russell signs a new extension. He is more important than the trash they sent back to Indiana.

It's a good risk for the Thunder. And who knows, maybe they compete for the 4th spot & George decides to resign with them. There is no guarantee George will move on to LA. Even less so when sees how bad the Lakers team will be again this upcoming season. A better chance he signs with Clippers than Lakers.

Yeah, even if they move George again at the trade deadline the Thunder will be sitting in much better shape than they were.

Just the other day, Indy was playing 'hard ball' with the C's... trying to squeeze them into offering up the Nets #1 plus a nice haul of other assets... now, they accept this junk deal?

What the hell, man?

Can't fault Ainge and the C's for not being idiots... it takes 2 to tango, and the Indy brain trust are apparently morons.

Yeah. I don't get it at all. What is the rush? Wait 3 freaking get days and they get a much better deal. This is not Danny Ainge's fault. Indiana accepted an offer worth less than half what Boston was willing to give.

Im kind of surprised Blake didnt even entertain OKC. Russ, PG and BG coulda been a nice lil squad. Or at the very least they coulda been the new hot boyz ( cash money )

Nah. Won't make much difference. Those guys played for 7 and 8 seeds respectively. Won't affect the balance of power much.
