Very few teams do their picks in a vacuum.
They do all the things you listed plus they listen to consensus from variuos sources.
Yeah not so sure about that or at least how much credence they give an of them

Im pretty sure GMs and Coaches don't care about or even concern themselves with what Draft Buzz and Walter Football are saying. They 1. Asses team needs, 2. Asses player talent, 3. Determine positional depth, 4. Create a draft strategy based on that.
Why do I read this as the plural of Ass?

I cannot unsee it.

Back to the 2025 Draft.

If the Patriots pick up a veteran LT in free agency, would you consider WR Tetairoa McMillan ARZ as the first pick? He has 4.5 speed and huge hands.
Even better, he's arguably either 6'5" or 6'6", 215 lbs and has hurdled players standing at full height. Yeah, he a college giant who has outplayed college talent. His physical traits are unquestionable, but there's always those unknowns. But what a target for Maye.

Yes. Definitely.

Do you think they can sign a LT, DT, EDGE, DB, S and maybe OC all in FA?

I feel like the WR grouping is coming along, at least as well as it can with the limited time Maye has. So I guess I do not feel they can address all those needs.
