Patriots 2025 Draft

Since it seems to come up in one discussion or another every other day, might as well have an official place to discuss the draft.

As we travel into Week 8, the Patriots and Panthers are fighting for the #1 pick in the 2025 Draft.

Just asking, not suggesting.

Right now, Miami is picking #5. They're QB situation is in the toilet. Tua reportedly, has been told that another concussion could land him in the vegetable garden permanently or even in the headstone garden. He's seriously considering hanging them up.

Would you be willing to trade the #1 to the Dolphins for Their #5 and #37 or #5 and 2026 #1?

As I type, no team has two first round picks. Of course, positions could change dramatically and one never knows who will get seriously injured and create rade scenarios that we can't even imagine today.

But if that's the best offer I take it. #5 and 2026 first. Weak draft so #37 doesn't overly excite me. But think there needs to be a little more to get this done IMO.

Seeing as we need a LT and can get one of the two between picks 5 and 7 trading the number 1 pick makes a lot of sense to me. Trading in the division not so much

Two firsts, two seconds and a player.
Two firsts, three seconds.
2025 first and second, 2026 first and second, 2027 first or second.

Depending on who the player is from, from what team and how far back the 2025 first and second are, maybe tweak that.

If Miami is going up for a QB I would make that trade as this does not look like a great QB draft. So take their picks and possibly saddle them with an average at best QB situation...as a Patriots fan I would think you would love that.

My opinion? You don't trade with a division rival unless you are robbing them blind.

Tua is going to play this coming weekend.
Is he going to hit the ground running or just hit the ground?
