We've already seen the old mid-00's rivalry rekindle itself a bit earlier in the season with the scuffle between Paul George and Marcus Morris.

If the Pacers hang onto their spot, it's a true testament to Paul George. Obviously he's not LeBron, but he's put this team on his back this year.

If Detroit is going to scratch their seven-year itch and return to the Playoffs (they haven't made it since 2009), I think Stan Van Gundy should be among the top candidates for Coach of the Year along with Popovich and Brad Stevens. I was not a fan of the Tobias Harris trade for them, but they've been able to make the most of it.

George has been unreal. He should at least get some MVP consideration.

His mediocre supporting cast drags his FG percentage down which will ultimately prevent him from it.

As an old Pistons fan glad to see them look like they get back to the playoffs.

I think Stotts has the COY won with Stevens 2nd, but if Gundy gets the Pistons in the playoffs he'll get some votes. Kinda the same with PG13, the MVP has already been won but he'll get votes for how much he's done trying to carry his team to the playoffs.
If either team draws Toronto in round 1 there's a possible upset because the Raptors have struggled to advance in the playoffs recently.

You're probably right, but it's hard to argue that there's a player in the league that means more to his team than Paul George does to the Pacers. Problem is, a couple of those guys (specifically Curry and Lebron) play on teams that are championship contenders and that will also hurt George's chances.

He should definitely be in the conversation though, imo.

As long as there's a Morris on a roster, there's a chance for a brawl. Can't wait till that thug gets his ass beat. Him and his bro are clowns.

They're going to give it to Kerr but Stotts should win it

Kerr has been great, but considering the 24-0(or whatever it was) start that they had came under the assistant head coach, I think that kinda takes away from Kerr. Plus, they won close to 70 last year so while breaking the record is nice it's not like they made some 20 win jump. Stotts had to replace 4 good-all star caliber starters and took a team that looked to be headed for rebuild into a likely playoff spot. All that said, you're probably right about Kerr winning it.

If Bulls lose one more game or Pacers win more game, Pacers clinch their bid. Bulls play the Cavs tonight. Cavs can clinch the #1 seed tonight with a win so Bulls will probably lose.
