I am jonesing so bad, I've even thought about going to some of the places around here. but I know it will just piss me off so I'm trying to avoid it. we had a little place around the corner for awhile. people opened a stand alone after operating a taco truck for years, damned good but I get the feeling that other than me it was just local Hispanics that went there and they went under a couple of months ago. they made homemade chicken tamales that were so good you hated to use any sauce or mole on them. and speaking of mole, it was the real thing and amazing

There's 2 or 3 here in town that are passable, but the one I've been going to most lately used to be pretty small and was primarily take out. They just moved to a new location, bigger and have been packing in the people. Their TexMex is OK, but they serve authentic Mexican shrimp cocktail and a couple of grilled shrimp dishes that are to die for.
