Which nickname for your team really gets to you?

"FudgePackers" bothers me. Not because of the immature nickname itself, but because it is needlessly inaccurate.

The Packers were named after a meat packing company. You could call us the "MeatPackers", still have the same innuendo, and be historically accurate!

Fudge packers are all the same…

Something that still makes me laugh like a crazy person is the story of the sculptor who made John Elway's bust for Canton. He said when Elway saw it he got really mad because he thought his teeth were too big. I haven't done a side by side comparison but I think the sculptor did a satisfactory job.

That's why you see so many fans actually calling their own team anything BUT that ... like "Washington" and the "Burgundy and Gold"

As for myself, they'll never be anything other than the Redskins, until this name changes to something worthy.

And even then, I'll likely still often refer to them as Skis, lol

To me, when people try to give a derogatory name it's usually some kind of envy.

I've also seen Redskids, then shortened to the skids...whatever...it's all nonsense and if you take it personally you should probably evaluate yourself.
