The call Buzz makes ... "belt high fast ball" ... and then the tracker shows it letter high almost out of the zone. Buzz is vertically challenged making calls.

That was crazy. No wonder Cruz dumped his agents. He had as much chance of JD agreeing to that as 10 for 120 would have been.

I would consider a 1 or 2 year deal about the best he would get from Texas

Agents were looking for a big payday for themselves and pumped him up to agree to what they were going to ask knowing its the only big contract he'd be likely to see. But think your right ... 1-2 year offer from TEX maybe an option year. Someone will offer him more.

Yep... $14mil QO if just to get the compensation because if TEX doesn't sign him someone else will. But think they will make him a small multi-year deal perhaps with an option. Lots depends on whether he gets to play some more this year and how he does. His 'contract year' got cut short. But he can make amends if TEX makes the post season.
