LETS GO!!!!
HO KIES!!!!
LETS GO!!!!
hahahahahahahaha
I would have easily traded Andrew Luck for THREE first rounders. RG3 is not even on his level.
I'm sorry, but lol at the redskins
lol at the Skins.
Tuck, Osi, JPP and the boys will be ready to introduce him to the NFL.
Good job St. Louis!
3 first rounders? Skins must have a 5 year plan. lol
Getting three first rounders form a team who will most likely have high pickes for those three years...
I remember once a team parlayed a guy named Walker into a similar influx of fist rounders like that.... which turned into Aikman, Irvin and Smith.
That worked out ok.
I understand wanting a franchise QB. However, this is almost as bad as the Herschel Walker trade. If the Rams get the WR they want anyway it will look even worse.
I expect thanks to the Redskins the Rams will be picking in the top 10 next year. Heck they could end up with 2 top ten picks next year.
...but mark my words this trade will set the Rams up for a long time. It's a deal Redskiins fans will look back on as a franchise killer. Times have changed.
This was a bad move. The Skins gave up too much.
It's not a "debate" when you say the same thing over and over, are presenting something as fact that is pure speculation, and are making comparisons to past trades that are completely out of proportion with this one.
You guys knew I was gonna go back to this thread at some point. Let the feast of crow begin...
I'll gladly mark your words.
The Skins are back, baby!!!
its so nice being right
To be fair, the Colts are 8-4 while the Skins are 6-6.
I wasn't even right. I just thought the LOLing and stating the trade was bad as a fact was ridiculous.
RG3 has made everyone on that offense better. He's making 6th round picks play like 2nd round picks. He's making a mediocre O-line the leading rushing team in the NFL. He's done it all with his top (and only excellent) receiver out most of the year. He's done it without his top (and only excellent) tight end out most of the year. He's one of the most exciting players in the NFL already, he's a leader and Captain on the team and deservedly so, and he puts this team (whose defense has been MUCH worse than last year) in every game. I don't think the NFL has ever seen a player with the combination of talents he has.
The fact is that the QB position has never been more important in the NFL. I never said this was the right move. But the trade was laughed at and mocked on here. I said it was too early then to say it was a bad trade, but I don't think it's too early now to say this was a good trade for us (and might be good for the Rams as well).
Where did I compare RG3 to Luck?
I have a feeling that RGIII will have some success in his first few years in the NFL, but with the type of QB that he is, teams will start to figure him out and then he'll start getting into injury problems. (EX. Vick)
Teams generally want a QB like Luck who's more of a Pocket Passer and who will generally have a longer shelf life.
RGIII is also surrounded by more talent and also has the benefit of having the 7th easiest Strength Of Schedule this Season.
Right now things are looking promising for RGIII and the Skins, but I'm going to hold out for another couple of Seasons and see what happens after his Rookie year.
Stop harshing my buzz, dude. Comparisons to Vick are not real strong, because Vick's arm always sucked. Steve Young would probably be a better one.
Saying RG3 is surrounded by more talent is a joke. The Colts had one horrible year but had double digit wins for nearly a decade before that. The Skins have wallowed in mediocrity or worse for, well, forever. Luck has a Hall of Fame receiver to throw to. RG3 has had Aldrick Robinson, an old Santana Moss, and Leonard Hankerson for much of the season. Not exactly an all-star ensemble.
I don't care if he's better than Luck or not anyway. He's great for us. He's among the top 5 QBs and nearly the top 20 rushers. Take the cynicsim elsewhere.
rg3 is not just a runner. The guy has a gun as well. He has heart and is a true leader. his is evident after just 12 games. The only thing i worry about is injury. Having said that Im sure every team has that same fear.
In RG3 I trust
Actually when Vick came into the League, a lot of people were talking about how strong of an arm he has, and they continued to say he had one of the strongest arms in the League for a few years.
And RGIII is in the top 5 of QB's??? In what, Passer Rating, cause that's about all I see right now. He barely has more passing yards that Fitzpatrick, and even has thrown less TD's than him.
I'm not trying to be cynical or tear him down, I'm just saying I'm not ready to say the Skins made a great deal based on what I have seen so far.
I'm just gonna pretend you didn't just compare RG3 to Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Using team record to compare Luck and RG3 is ridiculous IMNVHO. And I think Luck is awesome btw for all that he is being asked to do. But I don't think it's even close who is having a better year right now. RG3 is ranked just ahead of Tom Brady in his rating. Luck is just behind Jake Locker.
In Luck's defense, he has some high expection's, and some mighty big shoes to fill in Indy. And I'm not going to knock him for his rating considering the amount of passing he's forced to do because of the shitty run game then Colts have right now, and that they have a harder schedule this year.
